Infra Red Receiver On Bread Board

The LIRC or the Linux Infrared Remote Control is an interesting project (package) that allows you to control your computer with your (tv) remote control. Like controlling the music player app or movie player. If you are planning to use it with you desktop box you will need to build the IR receiver on your own.

Zoyd has been planning to get a media box/ movie player out of some old hardware that he has, few days back he got the component from the local market which somewhere around Rs.75/-.

I assembled the circuit on a Bread Board to check out whether it works or not.

Guess what

It worked… as per the test circuit… the the test LED glowed in response to the key presses from the TV remote.

Wow it was great fun… and after a long time i actually did try out some electronic project.

It is not finally assembled.. we need to decide on housing and placement.

will get back will finally working details later.
